Change an animal’s life, for free

When you foster with SAAP you pick the age, breed, size, how many, and how often you have an animal in your home.

SAAP covers all vet care and medication costs.

Temporary fosters are also needed when full-time fosters are unavailable to host their foster pets.

Fosters are responsible for:

  • Feed and water animal at least 2x day

  • Continue house and crate training

  • Socialize and exercise the animal

  • Administer medications provided by our partner vet

  • Submit a description of the pet’s personality to ensure a best fit adoption

  • Transport animal to/from vet, and to/from adoption events

  • * Pregnant and nursing animals need extra care, scroll to learn more!

SAAP provides fosters with:

  • Collars, harnesses, and leashes

  • Crate and bed

  • Litter and litter box

  • Food and treats

  • Food and water dishes

  • Towels and blankets

  • Medication, if necessary
